We are urging residents to remain vigilant against rogue traders operating in the area. These individuals often target vulnerable people, offering services such as home repairs, gardening, or driveway work at inflated prices or with poor-quality results. In some cases, they may use intimidation tactics or demand payment upfront without completing the work.

How to protect yourself:

Do not agree to work on the spot. Take time to check credentials.

Always ask for written quotes and verify the trader’s details.

Avoid paying in cash or upfront.

If in doubt, say no and close the door.

If you suspect a rogue trader or feel pressured, contact the police immediately on 101 or report to Trading Standards. In an emergency, call 999.
